Lynne Morton Founder and President

Lynne Morton, Founder and President,  Performance Improvement (PI) Solutions, is a management consultant and executive coach whose multi-disciplinary career spans the consulting and corporate worlds.  She is a globally recognized thought leader in talent management, having worked with senior leadership teams in North America, Europe, and Africa for 20+ years. In 2009, Lynne received the HR Leadership Award at the World HRD Congress in Mumbai, India, in recognition of her accomplishments.

Her clients are Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and non-profits and have included Navistart/International Truck & Engine, Dell, John Hancock, Morgan Stanley, Herman Miller, Lehman Bros., U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Cengage, Canadian Housing & Mortgage Corp., Wolters Kluwer, First National Bank S.A., Fried Frank Harris, LearnShare, AstraZeneca and The Conference Board.  Her executive coaching clientsare High Potential women, mostly from professional and financial services organizations and entrepreneurs. 

Prior to forming PI Solutions in 2001, Ms. Morton was Associate Director, Global Knowledge Management at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she was a member of the management team and head of the thought leadership program.  She was also Director, Coopers & Lybrand, Management Consulting Services and Vice President for Quality at Marsh & McLennan Cos.  Lynne is also co-founder of TalentScope, the provider of  TalentStudio™.  During 2008, she served as its Chief Operating Officer.  Ms. Morton began her career in the art and publishing worlds and continues to bring the perspectives of the creative arts to her consulting and coaching.

A frequent speaker and author, Ms. Morton has been featured on programs at The Institute for the Future, The Conference Board, The Mergers & Acquisition Institute, CoreNet, ODNetwork, AMA, Danish Industries Leadership Summit and Cranfield University.  She is the author of Integrated and Integrative Talent Management: A Strategic HR Framework (The Conference Board), Talent Value Imperatives (The Conference Board), and Differentiating Talent Management (CRF Publishing).  Her ideas have appeared in OD and Strategy publications in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and India. Co-author of The Primordial Bond (Plenum Publ., 1980), she was also a contributor to Breakpoint BPR (Coopers & Lybrand, 1992) and to Out of Site: An Inside Look at Outsourcing (IHRIM, 2004).

She has been interviewed by numerous publications including New York Newsday, Consulting Today, Crain’s New York Business, LIM Newsletter, Human Capital Institute Newsletter, and The Alexander Hamilton Institute Bulletin. Her ideas have appeared in OD and HR publications in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Ms. Morton was a member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award and of the Steering Committee for the Empire State Advantage Program.  She is on the National Advisory Board of the Human Capital Institute; a member of the Society for Organizational Learning, and a volunteer facilitator for the AmericaSpeaks Network.  Ms. Morton is certified in Lominger’s Career Architect, DiSC, and  The Profiler.  Lynne Morton holds  a B.A. degree from Vassar College and an M.A. degree from Georgetown University.  She is currently completing her certificate in executive coaching with iPEC.
